Rebecca C. Faber

Rebecca Faber is responsible for the development and coordination of initiatives to facilitate trade and global awareness in Delaware and the region. The WTC staff initiates, develops and implements programs to assist businesses and organizations including educational and networking events, market research, and consulting.

Ms. Faber serves on the Mid-Atlantic District Export Council, Board of Directors of the Port of Wilmington Maritime Society, Temple CIBER Advisory Board and Leadership Delaware Alumni Advisory Board.

Ms. Faber has a B.A. in Political Science with an International Affairs Concentration and German minor from Gettysburg College. She is proficient in German, French and Spanish.




Carla Sydney Stone

Ms. Carla Sydney Stone is the new Executive Director of the World Trade Center Delaware, where she is responsible for the overall organization mission and strategy, performance, Board governance and public representation. Prior to joining in October, 2016, Carla Stone was principal of International Development & Technical Assistance, LLC, a firm that works at the intersection of engineering and public health and human capacity building around the world.  Previously, she led international technical assistance programs at Delaware Tech and the University of Delaware. And worked in the energy and financial sectors. Carla Stone is a graduate of Columbia University’s (New York) Henry Krumb School of Mines with a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering, Geophysics Option and M. S. degree in Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics with additional training and certificates in water and wastewater operations, safety and international project management. Ms. Stone was honored by the US Small Business Administration with the “Exporter of the Year Award”, the Government of Romania for her work during the avian influenza outbreaks, and by Cankiri Karatekin University, Turkey.   She is President of People to People International, Delaware Chapter, and serves on the International Council of Delaware. She currently serves on the organizing committee of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme supported “Benchmarking Telemedicine: Improving Health Security in the Balkans.



NCNesrin Cakiroglu

Nesrin Cakiroglu is responsible for the oversight of client services pertaining to the business needs of World Trade Center Delaware members, and manages the day to day operations of the office and oversight of student interns.

Ms. Cakiroglu is originally from Turkey having graduated from Wilmington University in 2012 with a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management (Master of Science in Management), and another in Marketing Management (2013). She is currently pursuing her MBA degree at Wilmington University.

Ms. Cakiroglu has been in the USA for more than 8 years which has given her the opportunity to compare both American & Turkish work environments.

Sean Kathleen Curran

Sean Curran heads up customized research projects for WTC Delaware members. 
Ms. Curran has worked with WTC Delaware for 6 years, handling operations and program logistics in addition to research.  She previously served as President of the Delaware Chapter of People to People International and as Director of the Port of Wilmington Maritime Society.  She is involved with a variety of projects overseas in the field of international development, including reconstruction and transitional peace-keeping in disaster relief zones and war-torn countries.  She has lived and worked in Kenya and Ecuador building schools and teaching English, has participated in peace-keeping efforts in Bosnia, spent time aiding in the reconstruction process in Haiti and has 5 years of small business management experience.

Ms. Curran has a B.A. in International Relations with a background in Engineering, Anthropology, Sociology and languages. She is proficient in Spanish and has a background in French and Arabic.

Mary Ann is an accomplished World Trade Professional, providing transnational consulting services to businesses that currently are, or are considering going global. With an extensive business background and cross-cultural knowledge, she has been able to advance global commerce through the development and dissemination of best practices.
