Meet Our Interns

Elmahdi Haji
My name is Elmahdi Haji. I am originally from Casablanca, Morocco. I am pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management. My date of graduation is December 2010. After my graduation in 2007, I worked as a store manager and I really liked it, but I wanted to move on and get a MBA and I choose the USA as a destination.

I am very excited about this opportunity of being an intern for the World Trade Center of Delaware. My goal is to gain some practical experience and to apply what I have and still learning at the college. I hope that by the end of my internship I will be able to build a career with an international company as I really like travelling and discovering cultures and places.
Cheryl Landry
My name is Cheryl Landry and I have lived most of my life right here in Wilmington, Delaware. In May 2009 I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in International Studies and Political Science. I have been fortunate enough to spend time traveling to both Eastern Europe and South America. I spent two weeks traveling throughout Eastern Europe, and two months during the summer of 2008, studying Spanish at the Universidad de San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador.

I am excited for this opportunity as an intern at the World Trade Center Delaware because I will be gaining valuable experience in a professional environment. The ability to interact with businesses in the international arena while facilitating economic stimulation will provide me with valuable skills to become a successful individual in the field. I look forward to the challenges ahead and am excited to dive into the field of international trade and business.
Dawn Chuang Ying Lim-Leon
My name is Dawn Chuang Ying Lim-Leon. I am from Malaysia. I came to the United States three years ago, and have recently completed my Masters of Business Administration at Wilmington University here in Delaware. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am also a member of the Malaysian Association of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

I look forward to my internship here at the World Trade Center as this is a new environment which I have not have practical experience in. I was introduced to international trade and global business while I was in school. With the world doing business without boundaries today, I am sure that this would be a fruitful, as well as an adventurous journey.
Scott Melli
As a second year student at the University of Delaware, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and East Asian Studies. I am involved in several resident student organizations on campus including the Latin American Tutoring Program, Model United Nations, and I am a Resident Assistant in the residence halls. I enjoy traveling and learning about all the cultures the world has to offer. I lived in Argentina for a large portion of my life and I studied abroad for a month in China in January 2009. I hope to be able to travel and learn more or return to China to continue my studies.

I know that working at WTCDE will help me develop skills in the work place as well as help my personal growth. I look forward to interacting with people from all over the world and conducting business with companies and watching them grow and develop.
Aditya Nugraha
My name is Aditya Nugraha, from Indonesia. I first came to the U.S. in 1989 at the age of 6 and stayed until I graduated high school in 1999. Due to the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997, my parents decided that they could no longer finance my college tuition and that I have to return to Indonesia to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from University of Paramadina Mulya. When I was a sophomore in college, I got accepted for my first job at American Express and moved around to different banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, and HSBC. I've also worked for other industries such as Lion Air, which is a domestic airline industry and Care Indonesia, a humitarian assistance agency. I believe that it is important for me to be flexible by working in different types of industries which will help me broaden my knowledge and expertise in different areas of the field.

I came back to the U.S in October 2008, to pursue my MBA at Wilmington University. I believe that this internship program at WTCDE will help me better understand what globalization really means. I hope my experience and skills will add a positive contribution to the organization.
Nataki Oliver
My name is Nataki Oliver and I am a Wilmington, Delaware native. Recently, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) NYC, May 2009. I also received my Associates degree in Jewelry Design, May 2007. Although, FIT is highly recognized for its design background, the International Trade and Marketing curriculum was created to allow graduates to perform well in any area of the trade sector. With the world growing closer together and doing more business cross borders, it was important for me to become more interested in foreign policy issues and understand how crucial it is to create productive international relationships.

Now that I returned to Wilmington, DE, I am very excited to have this opportunity of being an intern for World Trade Center Delaware. From this experience, I hope to stay abreast on new developments in Delaware's trade community and be exposed to all the services WTCD has to offer businesses in the First State. This will be a time for me to meet great people who share the same passion I have for marketing within the trade industry and to create a stronger foundation for an exciting career choice.
Ben Parajon
My name is Ben Parajon, and I am from Wilmington, DE. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing at Wilmington University. I will be graduating in January 2011 and I plan on furthering my education by pursuing a masters program in International Business. During the summer of 2009 I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and attended a language institute. Through course work in marketing, my interest in international business has grown immensely.

I am excited for this opportunity as an intern at the World Trade Center Delaware because I will be gaining work experience in the marketing field. I am looking forward to applying the materials I have learned in school to my new work environment. I believe this internship will give me a better understanding in the global business world.
Stefanie Podolak
My name is Stefanie Podolak. I am a Delaware native and currently enrolled in Wilmington University pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. I plan to continue my education, after graduating in the fall of 2010, to obtain a Master's Degree in International Business. I became fascinated with the global business world while studying at Wilmington University. I have experience in the cosmetic/fashion industry and was able to apply my experience with the research needed for my classes. I have a strong interest in culture and its interaction into societies around the world. I think that business today is growing to a global level fast, and it is extremely beneficial to be aware of the international business world trends.

I am very excited to be interning at World Trade Center Delaware. I was so happy to know that I will be able to gain extremely valuable information and experience in international business. I love to explore the concepts of marketing relations and I am excited to apply my experiences at WTCDE to improve my international marketing knowledge. I look forward to increasing my skills and beginning a great future in the global business world.
Autumn Sexton

I will be graduating in the Spring of 2012. I am also a member of the Air Force Reserves and have traveled to many parts of the world giving me the experience to see different cultures and understand them.

I am happy to be given an opportunity as an intern for the World Trade Center Delaware. My goal is to gain as much knowledge about the trade community for Delaware. As well as, gain the experience with working with many different kinds of companies and help them with their business needs.
