WTC Delaware Partners with WTC Nigeria for Sub-Saharan Africa Business Roundtable
WILMINGTON, DE, USA – November 16, 2010 – WTC Delaware was
very pleased to introduce John Adeleke, Executive Director of World Trade
Center of Nigeria Ltd/Gte, Lagos, as Guest Advisor via teleconference at the
November 16 meeting of the Sub-Saharan Africa Business Roundtable.
Mr. Adeleke was able to provide participants with timely information on economic issues in the region, as well as realities with infrastructure, transportation, and other issues to contend with when doing or considering doing business on the African continent. In addition, participants found it extremely useful to ask specific questions relative to their own industries, and were impressed with the breadth of knowledge displayed by Mr. Adeleke.
The purpose of the WTC Regional Business Roundtable is to bring together WTC members (open to any WTC members on a first-come, first-serve basis) doing business in a specific region of the world to discuss business they are doing and challenges they are facing. Engendering a sense of social responsibility within the group, WTC members who attend are readily sharing suggestions, information and contacts with one another. Each regional group meets quarterly, and each meeting features a guest advisor from the region via teleconference or in person. The groups are limited to participation of 15 companies at each meeting.
The November 16 Sub-Saharan Africa Roundtable was attended by 10 companies in various industries currently involved in the African market. WTC Delaware is most grateful to John Adeleke and WTC Nigeria for taking the time to participate in this program and offer suggestions to our members.
WTC Delaware welcomes any other WTC representative interested in partnering with us and acting as a Guest Advisor for a Regional Roundtable to contact us at rfaber@wtcde.com .
