Carla Sydney Stone

Ms. Carla Sydney Stone is the new President of the World Trade Center Delaware, where she is responsible for leading the overall organization mission and strategy, performance, Board governance and public representation. She assumes this position having served as Executive Director since October, 2016. Before joining the World Trade Center Delaware, Carla Stone was principal of International Development & Technical Assistance, LLC, a firm that works at the intersection of engineering and public health and human capacity building around the world. Previously, she led international technical assistance programs at Delaware Tech and the University of Delaware. And worked in the energy and financial sectors. Carla Stone is a graduate of Columbia University’s (New York) Henry Krumb School of Mines with a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering, Geophysics Option and M. S. degree in Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics with additional training and certificates in water and wastewater operations, safety and international project management. Ms. Stone was honored by the US Small Business Administration with the “Exporter of the Year Award”, the Government of Romania for her work during the avian influenza outbreaks, and by Cankiri Karatekin University, Turkey. She is Past President of People to People International, Delaware Chapter, and serves on the International Council of Delaware. She served on the organizing committee of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme supported “Benchmarking Telemedicine: Improving Health Security in the Balkans and is the editor of the recently published book of the same name.

Nesrin Cakiroglu

Nesrin Cakiroglu is responsible for designing and conducting training and development programs for staff and interns in the areas of communications, marketing and trade information research to improve individual and organizational performance.
Ms. Cakiroglu’s other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ms. Cakiroglu is originally from Turkey having graduated from Wilmington University in 2012 with a master’s degree in Human Resources Management (Master of Science in Management), and another in Marketing Management (2013). Additionally, Ms. Cakiroglu completed her MBA degree at Wilmington University / College of Business in January 2019.
Ms. Cakiroglu has been in the USA for more than 11 years which has given her the opportunity to compare both American & Turkish work environments.
Training & Development Specialist

Nesrin Cakiroglu is responsible for designing and conducting training and development programs for staff and interns in the areas of communications, marketing and trade information research to improve individual and organizational performance.
Ms. Cakiroglu’s other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Obtain, organize, and develop training procedure manuals and materials
- Develop marketing materials to increase organizational performance
- Monitor training budget
- Prepare intern work schedules
Ms. Cakiroglu is originally from Turkey having graduated from Wilmington University in 2012 with a master’s degree in Human Resources Management (Master of Science in Management), and another in Marketing Management (2013). Dinette Rivera joined the World Trade Center Delaware in 2019 as Senior Business Consultant. As Senior Business Consultant Dinette provides business consulting services to World Trade Center Delaware members and non-members. Dinette brings 30 years’ experience in business management and consulting . Dinette is a subject-matter expert on the implementation of Evidence-Based Practices in Business and Leadership Development.
Dinette is a University of Delaware Customized Learning Solutions Instructor, training hundreds of Financial Coaches for the State of Delaware’s Stand by Me Financial Coaching Program.
With support of the University of Delaware Center for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, she’s authored a publication on her Opportunity Training™ work, an Evidence-Based Practice Program.
Dinette has lived on two continents, two islands and sixteen cities. She’s traveled Europe, Canada, North America and Central America. A freedom seeker, Dinette spends her free time traveling, hiking, enjoying family, friends and savoring life. How she gives back is through her work with some of the most disadvantaged populations.

Seunghui (Selina) Jeong

Seunghui (Selina) Jeong is from the Republic of Korea and a senior at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She is majoring in Bulgarian Studies and Global Business and Technology. Some of her classes include Marketing Management, Current Topics in International Business, and Principles of Business Management.
Selina studied in Bulgaria as an exchange student for a semester. From this experience, she learned about foreign cultures, and she became interested in global trade. On her return to Korea, she studied International Trade and received a certificate of International Trade Specialist from the Korea International Trade Association. She joined World Trade Center Delaware on April 11, 2022 as a Research & Trade Information intern.
Selina loves to travel and do sports. She has traveled not only in Bulgaria but also Greece, Italy, France, Hungary, Slovenia, Australia, Mongolia, and many other countries. She learned adaptability and independence by traveling to various countries and through new experiences. Selina’s hobbies include horseback riding, golf, and surfing. Travel and exercise are the driving force for her.
